Allegretto, named after a medium, playful musical tempo, is a very special single-vineyard wine we call a true Merlot. The vines are planted on their own rootstock (pie franco) in soils of pure white silica sand — this rare site delivers a level of transparency, elegance, and trueness of flavour seldom found elsewhere. A medium-bodied Merlot from a warm microclimate within a cool macroclimate, Allegretto balances New World generosity with Old World restraint. Expect a melange of red and black fruits, raw cacao nibs, wild desert herbs, and delicate earthy notes, all wrapped in mostly integrated tannins with just a touch of edge.
